This recipe can be adapted to make cake/buns by adding sweetener or sugarfree syrups and fruit/spices. It can also be used with the addition of savoury seasonings to make bases for lowcarb pizzas if poured into a flat wide dish. After microwaveing turn out onto an oven pizza plate and add toppings and grill or bake till done. Induction 'legal' if you need to use flax to help regulate constipation. Just make sure to eat only one or two tablespons of flax seeds worth of this a day and drink plenty of water. Ignore the 'cost' section above - it is rubbish!! |

Ingredients: 4 Tablespoon_m(s) flat T of seeds ground to flour Flax Seeds 1/2 Teaspoon_m(s) heaped teaspoons baking powder 2 Tablespoon_m(s) melted butter 2 medium egg 4 Tablespoon_m(s) cold water |
Directions:
Mix ingredients thoroughly and place in microwaveable container.
I use a square dish approximately 5" x 3" x 3" height.
Microwave for 4 minutes.
Turn out onto a rack to cool.
Can be stored in an airtight container for several days if required.

Microwaved Flax Buns (
Add to shopping list ) :
6 Tablespoon_m(s) flat : ground Flax Seeds 28 Gram(s) melted butter 1 Teaspoon_m(s) baking powder 2 egg 2 Tablespoon_m(s) sugarfree syrup 4 Tablespoon_m(s) cold water |
Directions:
Melt one ounce of butter in the microwave on half power to avoid spitting then add the rest of the ingredients and mix thoroughly.
Divide the mixture between 6 small microwaveable dishes and cook on high power till risen and firm to the touch (about 4 minutes).
Turn out onto a cooling rack.
You can decorate these with 'icing' (frosting) made from sweetened cream cheese ofr a festive touch. |
